Open Call - Pompey Darkroom x Pitt Street Skatepark

Pompey Darkroom, in collaboration with Pitt Street Skatepark, is inviting photographers to apply for our Open Call and have your work printed and hung at Pitt St. skatepark

Responding to the theme of ‘sanctuary’, this open call offers space to share a work in progress project at Pitt St. Kitchen. With a footfall of around 50,000 visitors a year, the space offers a great opportunity and exposure for your work to be seen by a wide audience. The selected artist will present up to six framed works, with costs of printing, and curatorial and technical support provided.

The selected artist will be given space for up to six framed works (frames provided). While the format is usually fixed, there may be some flexibility depending on the project and installation schedule.

Submissions will be reviewed by a panel including members of Pompey Darkroom, Pitt St. Skatepark, and invited artists and collaborators.

We welcome applications from all photographers, with a particular interest in those based in Portsmouth and the surrounding areas. We’re especially keen to see submissions that demonstrate a cohesive project or consistent body of work.
